An unused bearing retains full service life, and industrial buyers will pay close to market for it when sourced through a reputable channel. If your surplus inventory is largely unused, you are in the best possible position as a seller, and the offer should reflect that rather than defaulting to a blanket surplus discount.
Condition terminology matters here, because it drives pricing directly. New in box means the bearing remains in its original sealed manufacturer packaging with labels intact. New without box means the bearing is unused but the original carton is missing or damaged. Shell variance describes bearings removed from original packaging — often for inspection or kitting — that were never installed. All three are unused, and all three carry strong value.
Sellers frequently undervalue new-without-box and shell variance inventory, assuming that packaging loss destroys the value. It reduces it modestly, not fundamentally. The bearing is still unused and still has full service life. We specialize in evaluating and reselling this material, and we routinely pay several times what a seller had been offered elsewhere on the assumption that unboxed inventory was effectively scrap.
Brand and part number drive the balance of the valuation. SKF, Timken, FAG, NTN, NSK, Dodge, Rexnord, INA, Koyo, McGill, Torrington, and Fafnir carry the deepest secondary demand. Larger bore sizes generally command higher per-unit value. Current and recently superseded part numbers price best, though we also buy obsolete numbers because plants running older equipment often cannot source them new.
Storage conditions affect what we can offer, so it is worth being accurate about them. Bearings kept indoors in original grease and packaging are ideal. Inventory stored in damp, unheated, or outdoor conditions may show surface corrosion that reduces value even though the bearing was never installed. Photographs of representative units and of the storage area let us quote accurately the first time.

Premium brands such as SKF, Timken, FAG, NTN, and NSK carry the strongest secondary demand, and larger bores are generally worth more per unit. New-in-box condition prices highest, followed by new-without-box and shell variance, then graded used. Do you pay for shipping and pickup?
Yes. We cover freight and pickup nationwide, and we supply pallets, crating, and rigging where needed. Bearings are dense and heavy, so freight can otherwise consume a large share of the sale value. Because it is on us, the number we quote is the number you keep.
Will you buy bearings without original boxes?
Yes. Bearings removed from original packaging but never installed are called shell variance, and they remain unused with full service life. Missing packaging reduces value modestly rather than eliminating it. Many sellers are quoted scrap prices on this material elsewhere; we buy it at real market value.
What is the minimum quantity you will buy?
There is no formal minimum. We buy single pallets through full warehouse liquidations. For very small quantities we may consolidate pickup with other freight in your area, which can add a few days to scheduling but does not change your offer.
